A Lady's Honor by Laurie Alice Eaks is the journey of a girl not wanting to settle down with the man that her family wants her to and wants to find her own rightful spot. Elizabeth wants to do right by her family and follow their wishes, but she realizes their wishes are not her wishes and she sets out to find what she wants. In steps Rowan, the man that will challenge her, guide her, and love her for who she is not for what she can provide in exchange for marriage. Sometimes a story can not only provide an escape from the day to day, but it can inspire and delight all at the same time. I honestly say that this novel has a bit of everything in it, intrigue, anger, action, and best of all forgiveness and that makes for a magical read. This is novel not to be missed, but devoured as soon as possible. I was given a review copy and all opinions are my own.
