Was it real?

A Deadly Business by Lis Wiehl and April Henry is a thriller. I could not put this book down because I just had to know what was going to happen to Mia and the rest of her family. To me, this story had so many fantastic turns that you could not help but become engrossed in the tale and whether or not Mia would make it through the trials of her life. The best part about this story is that Mia thinks her life is built on so many good connections and love, but sadly that was not true. Mia was just living with what she believed to be a normal family life and that was working until the moment it stopped and her family became pawns in their new tumultuous existence. This is the kind of novel that you will be happy to lose a night of sleep over and better yet the best kind of beach read to wash away the week of. Mia's struggles hit so close to home because it makes you think how much do you really know about the person that you are creating a life with and taking this once in a lifetime journey with it can be a scary thought and that was half the fun of reading this spine-tingling tale. I was given a review copy and all opinions are my own.
