Historical novels are a great genre and I recommend them to every single reader. Gwen, our heroine, is trying to survive the times and the situation of her life and it is enjoyable to read unfolding. The Tea Planter's Wife Dinah Jeffries is interesting and worth the days of getting lost in the story. I think I may have avoided a few hiccups of the story because of distractions but that was my fault. It does deal with lots of slavery of colored individuals but that was a sign of the times and handled well throughout this book. I received a copy for this review from blogging for books and all opinions are my own.
